Sinkhole is a depression or hole in the ground caused by some form of collapse of the surface layer, decomposing debris, erosion / drainage issues. In a residential application, developers and builders buried construction debris e.g. stumps scrap wood which over time possibly years have decomposed leaving a void.

In most applications using a machine to dig our remaining debris if any, pack down the depression, following with fill dirt, top soil or ground cover, leaving finish grade higher than surrounding grade to account for future settling.
Brent came out this morning, he did an amazing job on the side of my house and my backyard. He leveled the yard and knocked down a fence or two. His pricing was the BEST we have been in this house for 17 years and for the 1st I love my backyard. Other grading companies are so expensive and tried to rip me off but Brent really made me happy. - CBS Grading did an excellent job putting crush and run gravel off our driveway to provide some extra parking space. I provided the dimensions and they calculated exactly what we needed. We decided to pay a little extra to have it spread and I’m glad we did! Brent knows what he’s doing and did a fantastic job leveling and spreading the gravel.
